OUR MISSION

THE AMERICAN HOUSE FOUNDATION’S MISSION is to improve the quality of life for senior citizens living at or below the poverty level. By investing in outreach and research, The American House Foundation provides immediate resources for individuals in need today, while working to correct health disparities in these older adults for tomorrow.

WHO WE ARE

Seventy percent of your gift will go directly to outreach, helping seniors meet vital needs such as:

  • FOOD
  • HOUSING
  • TRANSPORTATION
  • MEDICATION
  • MEDICAL EQUIPMENT
  • ASSISTANCE

Thirty percent of your gift will go directly to research, helping the Institute of Gerontology at Wayne State University make progress in critical areas of aging such as:

  • HOMELESSNESS
  • DEPRESSION
  • DISABILITY
  • ALZHEIMER’S DISEASE
  • HYPERTENSION

THE AMERICAN HOUSE FOUNDATION has very low administrative costs that means a larger percentage of your donation goes directly toward helping senior citizens in need. None of the proceeds goes to help residents living in American House Communities.
